Ethiopian Food

DC is a blast
So I made the trek up to D.C. to see my buddies Faiyaz and Costner and his new lady friend Meg. After a 3 hour trip took 5 hours and I finally made it there and we immediately Faiyaz has taken to making fun of southerners and W Bush. He has also already renamed Meg to Gina as he calls every female.
After going to lunch and a bit of sight seeing we get ready to go downtown. Fuzzy has the bright idea that we should eat some ethiopian food to salute "his people". All i hear is how good this shit is and I say ok, I will try it. Sounds interesting, right?
WRONG
After walking through a downpour I go straight to the restroom to dry myslef off at the hand dryer. When I come back the waitress is collecting the menus. I ask Faiyaz what we ordered and he tells me, don't worry I took care of you.
So they bring us two platters of food. The waitress explains that the one closest to me is the spicy one. This is awesome as I hate spicy food, but how hot can it be right? She walks away and I notice there are no plates or silverware. There is a stack of what appears to be cloth napkins. Meg informs me that this is actually bread and we eat the food with it. I look at the other end of the table and Steven is poking the bread and is freaked out by the texture of it. I pick the chicken and some grab some napkin and shove it in my mouth. At this point I know I am not gonna be happy or full when I leave this place.
My mouth is immediately on fire. So I start shoving more napkin in my mouth. I decide to try the lamb next. I bite down to discover that this piece of meat is full of bones....get that? Bones! I almost chipped a tooth..the gold one.
After an hour of picking and mouth burning we leave the place. I get outside and Steven looks at me and asks me if I am ready for dinner. Apparently he liked it as much as me.
After a pretty calm night we go home. We get a cab and of course the cab driver is from Ghana. After a lengthy ride and Faiyaz talking about his people to Thomas the cabbie we call it a night. Not too exciting, but fun nonetheless.

Ah my first post of my new blog. I thought I would be cool and post one since everyone else is doing it.
